There is something very special to learn about our own backyard through images. The documentary mini-series about Working People and Labour History in British Columbia for Knowledge Network has been a work in progress for over a year and a half. An amazing team of some of this province’s top historians, labour experts, archivists, researchers and history buffs have assisted in collaborating to bring forward some of the most compelling and exciting stories about Labour History throughout BC’s history. All told through archival images and moving pictures, it is an exciting project that allows the viewer to take a trip back in time and learn about how our province, industries and many types of legislation came to be what we are familiar with today. We are deep into the research, writing and editing phases and are looking forward to having the project come together for the people of British Columbia to enjoy later this year.
